Click HERE to find the information about the council's review of Locally Listed buildings. A Listed Building is one listed by English Heritage which gives it statutory protection. Buildings on the Local List have no protection and are simply there to highlight a building worth preserving, but not up to English Heritage's standard. The Local List first started in 1987 when English Heritage reviewed London's Listed buildings. It is being proposed 4 buildings should be removed from the Local List as they have been Listed by English Heritage and are now far better protected. They are: St Andrew's Church, Leytonstone Lighthouse, Methodist Church in Markhouse Road St Peter's in the Forest, Woodford New Road, Walthamstow Stadium |
